Journal:
Week 2:
After presenting my final major project proposal to my tutors I received positive
feedback on my concept. This week I focused on researching for my project and
collecting and organising my research that I did over the Easter holidays. I feel
that I have gone collected a variety of information on the different topics
such as taking into consideration that comment made about UK sourcing, so I
went in and looked for manufacturing in the UK and how I would go about in
writing my PESTEL. In my next post I
have posted some of the work that I am progressing along with, this includes my
range plans and mood boards. I came up with the concept of 5 girls creating the
range with each of their style. This gives the range some versatility with regards
to selling.
Some of my Easter holiday work:
Below are my sketches I made for then 5 'it' girls:
|
Madison Looks: Clueless (movie) inspired looks. |
|
Vivienne Looks: art deco/print inspired looks. |
|
Lucy Looks: 70's/western inspired looks. |
|
Bebe Looks: 60's/art movement inspired looks.
|
I have used these sketches I made to create the garments on Photoshop as I am planning to get my range completed while the level 3's are on the workplace, so that there is time to complete them as well as my mood boards/concept boards and product development. This allows me to focus the rest of my time on the merchandising/sourcing of my garments and the finer details of the project.
